I love me some dancing penguins

If the secret, security, gimme-back-my-password question at a website is “What’s your favorite movie?” — my answer is one of three things.  One of them (the one I will never use again, obviously) is Mary Poppins.

Today my daughter and I will take our spoons full of sugar and chim-chim-cheeree to downtown Chicago to see my beloved umbrella and carpet-bag toting nanny on stage — you know — in real life.

A great ending for a cold, snowy and wet Spring Break!

    I so love Mary Poppins, and Jane and Michael Banks, but my favorite is Bert. I hope the play is as wonderful as the movie.

    I suck. My daughter has probably not ever seen Mary Poppins. I loved the movie, and my friend and I learned a couple songs from it to sing for a charity event when we were in 8th grade, but my dislike of the more recent hyper commercialization of Disney has kept me from showing her a lot of these movies. I should probably get it from the library…
