It’s an ice day

No snow, just ice.  No school, just stayin’ home.  The high school around here has only closed 5 times in the past 50 years, so you know it’s bad.  The dogs made no footprints in the backyard snow at 6am because it’s covered with a sheet of ice.

And I will stay home, keep my fingers crossed that the power stays on, finish up a freelance project and write.

It’s officially Winter Break for the kids, but not for me!!

How do you handle it when someone else is “off” and you’re not?

Love that photo. In Texas we usually have ice once a year for one day. In Illinois, the ice doesn’t know when go home and it wears out its welcome.

Those pictures are great! We’re having Noah season and no cold weather (this week). It’s been balmy and in the 60/70 range!

Oh NICE! We don’t get that sort of ice up here but rarely, even though we get tons of snow! When I first saw The Ice Storm, I watched it over and over because I just thought the jingle of the icicles and the glistening branches were the most amazing, beautiful thing I’d ever seen!

Not a problem when others are off here, because I’m always a little “off” too. :) Great pics.

Pretty! I have the most time off around here, so it’s really just myself I battle with to get things done.
