Links of Love
What? Are you looking for links to other blogs and website? I’m the one who needs the linky love!!
Leave your favorite writer, writing, author, publisher, agent or related websites in the comments. I don’t sport a blogroll but I do use Bloglines and I want to beef up the stash of online reading material. Also if you have a favorite tech blog or something you think I would love, pass it along.
I’ll share my favorites soon, but I think y’all know who you are.
And while you’re at it — what’s the difference between writing and blogging? Is there one? (I think so and have been chastised for it.)
Do tell.
Technorati Profile

lifehacker.com is fun. I didn’t know a single techie thing, and I didn’t understand a single post for about a week. And then, I learned more and more, and had a lot more fun with my computer!
I also like Cake Wrecks and I Can Haz Cheezburger for a laugh every day!
You know most of mine from visiting my blog…or can see them in my Rockin’ Blog roll.
Blogging = Fun, light, sometimes right out of the air topics, full of networking opportunities and community connections.
Writing = Way more thought, professionalism, directed at a certain audience/genre, mosty done in a vacuum.
Agents:
Nathan Bransford
Janet Reid
Jessica Faust
Kristin Nelson
Authors:
Nicholas Sparks (because he has a great section for writers)
Janet Evanovich (because I want to be a slightly-altered her)
I think there is a huge difference between writing and blogging, which is why I no longer blog every day. For me, it sucks the creative juices out of me and then when I get to my real writing, I am half empty.
I think Angie summed up the difference between blogging and writing very well, and Anita gave a great list of agents and authors. I would just add literary agent Colleen Lindsay’s blog (The Swivet) and the editorial blog, The Blood-Red Pencil, to the list.
Plus, if you ever need some extra motivation to write, try Dr. Wicked’s Writing Lab. It’s a pretty cool app that “punishes” you for not writing. Keep tying in the box and you’re fine; stop typing, and you’ll hear an annoying sound. You can even program it to begin erasing your work if you stop writing. If that’s not motivation, I don’t know what is!
I have a long list on my blog – but the agent blogs I read are already mentioned here. Editorial Ass is also a much read.
I think there can be a difference between writing & blogging – it all depends on how you’re doing it. I feel like I rarely am “writing” when I post – I’m just typing out my thoughts. Occasionally I have a post I’m proud of and those are the ones I consider from my writing side. Does that make sense?
